Dubai Aerospace Acquires 17 More Aircraft in a $1 Billion Deal
UAE-based aircraft leasing company Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has expanded its fleet with 17 new aircraft. The company announced that it has signed agreements with multiple parties for new aircraft purchases worth approximately $1 billion.
While DAE did not specify the aircraft types, it confirmed that the newly acquired planes are next-generation models, with 80% from Airbus and 20% from Boeing.
This acquisition will further balance the distribution of Airbus and Boeing aircraft within the DAE fleet, which currently consists of around 500 aircraft:
✔ 46% Airbus
✔ 49% Boeing
✔ 5% ATR 72-600
Additionally, in January 2025, DAE signed an agreement to acquire Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), one of the largest regional aircraft lessors. This deal, expected to be finalized in the first half of 2025, will add 250 more aircraft to the DAE fleet.
With this expansion, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise continues to strengthen its position in the global aircraft leasing market.
